I just started reviewing this site after hearing about it on Radio Nation. Some interesting editorials, though not much forum activity. I noticed the VP poll which I'm very opinionated about, but my top choice (Mark Warner) isn't there, nor are a whole lot of other possibilities given in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama_presidential_campaign,_VP_selection_process (more in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Democratic_vice_presidential_candidates%2C_2008).
Since this is a progressive website, perhaps the website designer would consider something more creative for the poll - my choice would be to list everybody on the wiki pages and then allow members to rank their choices using a ranked ballot. In the same way we have to get past this idiotic plurality voting system we have now in most of the US. Then aggregate the results using a Condorcet matrix of pairwise races, and list the Condorcet (e.g. Ranked Pairs for breaking ties, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranked_pairs) winner and the IRV winner (for which aggregating results isn't very straightforward - one of the big disadvantages of this method - though it has the most mindshare among alternatives now).
